The Mont Lozère Community of Municipalities is an intermunicipal organization comprising 21 municipalities, most of which are located in Lozère, with two in the Gard. Its mission is to pool resources and coordinate initiatives in areas such as economic development, land-use planning, and public services.

The Mont Lozère Community of Municipalities was formed through the merger of the Goulet-Mont Lozère Community of Municipalities and the Villefort Community of Municipalities, under the NOTRe Act (2017). It comprises 21 municipalities, including two in the Gard department, in the heart of the Cévennes National Park.

Background

The local authority oversees a wide range of responsibilities: land-use planning, local economic development, waste management, road maintenance, children and youth services, tourism, and cultural heritage. In the spirit of transparency and community engagement, it needed a clear and accessible official website to inform residents and promote the region.

The Project

A custom WordPress theme was developed, featuring an interactive map of the region and a directory of local businesses searchable by municipality and industry.

Result

An institutional website that centralizes useful information for residents and highlights the unique characteristics of a rural region rich in natural and cultural heritage.
