Le Rucher du Trenze is a honey farm nestled in the heart of the Cévennes National Park, on the southern slopes of Mont-Lozère. Thanks to its unspoiled environment and prime location, this honey farm produces exceptional honeys. The bees thrive in a rich and diverse natural environment, which allows for the production of a wide variety of high-quality honeys.
Le Rucher du Trenze practices conventional transhumant beekeeping, offering a wide range of honeys, such as chestnut honey, acacia honey, honey from the flowers of the Cévennes valleys, and heather honey from Mont-Lozère. In addition to honey, the honey farm also produces propolis, propomiel, and a lip balm of exceptional quality—all derived from the bounty of the hive.
Nestled on the southern slopes of Mont-Lozère, in the heart of the Cévennes National Park, the Le Rucher du Trenze apiary produces exceptional honeys through conventional transhumant beekeeping.
Background
Le Rucher du Trenze offers a wide range of honeys (chestnut, acacia, Cévennes valley wildflowers, and heather) as well as propolis, propomiel, and lip balm—all derived from the hive. The company wanted to expand its business by selling directly online, while giving meaning to its approach.
The Project
The project included a full-featured WooCommerce store, a blog section for SEO, an order management system, and, most importantly, a custom-developed beehive sponsorship program: Each customer can sponsor a hive for at least one year, receive personalized jars of honey, a certificate, and regular updates, while helping to protect bees from pesticides, parasites, and the Asian hornet.
Result
The online store has expanded Rucher du Trenze’s customer base and simplified order tracking. The main technical challenges—securing online payments and integrating the sponsorship system into the checkout process—were resolved to deliver a seamless end-to-end experience.
