Since the GDPR took effect on 25 May 2018, websites must obtain explicit consent before storing or reading personal data through trackers. To meet that requirement, the NRV agency built NRV Tarteaucitron, a GDPR cookie consent plugin for WordPress.
The need
Sites needed a compliant, easy-to-configure consent solution that blocked trackers until the visitor agreed, without the cost or rigidity of commercial consent platforms.
The solution
The plugin wraps the open-source tarteaucitron.js library in a WordPress-friendly interface, so cookie consent can be set up and styled directly from the admin.
