NRV Migration is a custom WordPress migration plugin built to reliably and securely synchronise data between a live e-commerce site and a development site. It grew out of a full redesign of Musardise that had to happen without interrupting the live store.
The need
Redesigning a live shop is risky: while you rebuild on a dev copy, the live site keeps taking orders and changing stock. Reconciling the two without losing data or breaking IDs is the hard part.
The solution
The plugin synchronises data both ways between live and dev, mapping IDs intelligently so records stay consistent. It is part of a series of modules built for Musardise, alongside the product builder.
